The Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft Siyay heading into Vancouver Harbour. She’s 28 m long with a beam of 12 m. She has 4 Caterpillar diesels creating just under 3800 hp. Top speed is believed to be 50 knots with a cruising speed of 45 knots. When you’re on the water there’s no mistaking her – those big variable speed props make a lot of noise. Very impressive.
